Olight Baton 4 vs Acebeam E10 2.0: Almost the Same Lumens, More Than Four Times the Reach (UAE 2026)

Olight Baton 4 compact EDC flashlight, compared with the Acebeam E10 2.0, sold in the UAE by Lumens

Updated 29 September 2026. Specs are Olight's and Acebeam's published figures; our prices and stock checked on the day we published.

Two of the pocket torches we sell for under AED 250 look almost identical on paper. The Olight Baton 4 is AED 210 and the Acebeam E10 2.0 is AED 249. Both run on a single 16340 cell, both are rechargeable, both can go underwater, and their maximum outputs are almost identical: 1,300 lumens against 1,200.

Then you look at beam distance. The Baton 4 is rated at 170 metres. The E10 2.0 is rated at 715. Same brightness on paper, more than four times the reach. That one difference decides which of these you should buy.

The short answer

Buy the Baton 4 if your torch will mostly light things within a few metres of you: keys, bags, the car, a dark stairwell, a power cut at home. It's half the weight of the E10 2.0, it's shorter, and its wide beam is the right shape for close work. AED 210.

Buy the E10 2.0 if you want to see a long way from a small light: across a beach, down a desert track, to the far end of a compound. It throws a tight beam up to 715 metres, and it holds 500 lumens for over half an hour. AED 249.

Why the reach is so different

Lumens measure how much light comes out. Beam distance depends on how tightly that light is packed, which is measured in candela. The Baton 4 spreads its 1,300 lumens into a wide, even beam: 7,225 candela. The E10 2.0 uses a CREE XP-LR, an LED with a very small emitting area, behind an optic built for throw. It squeezes 1,200 lumens into 127,806 candela, nearly 18 times the intensity, and that's where the 715 metres comes from.

Neither beam is better. They're different shapes for different jobs. A wide beam lights the whole room or the whole engine bay at once. A tight beam lights one spot far away and not much around it. Our flood vs throw guide shows the difference, and the lumens vs candela explainer covers the maths.

After the first minute

Neither light holds its maximum for long. That's normal for anything this small; our turbo lumens article explains why. What's worth reading is what happens next.

  • Baton 4: 1,300 lumens for a minute and a half, 600 for two and a half minutes, then 300 lumens for 73 minutes.
  • E10 2.0: 1,200 lumens for 30 seconds, then 500 lumens for 32 minutes, then 150 for 23 minutes, then 15 lumens for two hours.

So the E10 2.0 gives you more light for the first half hour: 500 lumens, which Acebeam rates at 426 metres on its High mode. After that the Baton 4 is ahead, still holding 300 lumens while the E10 2.0 has dropped to 150. For a short search, the E10 2.0 is stronger. For an hour of steady light in one place, the Baton 4 is.

Where the Baton 4 wins

  • Size and weight. 63 mm long and 52.5 g, against 88 mm and 106.5 g. The Baton 4 disappears into a trouser pocket; the E10 2.0 is closer to a small torch.
  • Close-range light. The wide beam is what you want for keys, bags, reading, and anything else at arm's length.
  • Moonlight. 0.5 lumens for 30 days, for walking through a dark house without waking anyone.
  • Price. AED 39 less.

Where the E10 2.0 wins

Acebeam E10 2.0 long-range compact EDC flashlight with CREE XP-LR LED, sold in the UAE by Lumens

  • Reach. 715 metres against 170, and still 426 metres at 500 lumens.
  • Charging with a normal cable. The E10 2.0's battery charges over USB-C, so the cable you use for your phone works. The Baton 4 uses Olight's MCC magnetic cable, which is quick and easy, but it's one more cable to keep with you. Our rechargeable flashlight guide covers that trade-off.
  • Bigger battery. 850 mAh against 650 mAh.
  • Magnetic tail. It sticks to a car body, so you can change a tyre at night with both hands free.
  • Drop rating. Acebeam rates it for 1.5-metre drops and IP68 against dust as well as water.

Who should buy which

  • Daily carry in the city, a light for the car door pocket, power cuts: the Baton 4.
  • Desert drives, the beach at night, security rounds, walking a dog on open ground: the E10 2.0.
  • Both jobs: honestly, both lights. Together they're AED 459, which is over our AED 300 free-delivery line.

If you want more power than either of these, the Baton 4 has three bigger siblings, compared in our four Batons article. For more reach than the E10 2.0, see how it stacks up against the Acebeam T29.

A note on UAE heat

Both lights use a small lithium-ion cell, and both will step down sooner than the published times in a hot car or a summer night. Don't store either in a parked car in July. Our summer heat guide has the details, and the batteries guide explains why the cell decides your runtime.

Our verdict

These two have almost the same lumens and completely different beams. The Baton 4 is the better everyday pocket light: smaller, lighter, cheaper, with a wide beam for close work. The E10 2.0 is the better light for seeing far, with more than four times the reach and a stronger first half hour.

Both are in stock in Dubai. The Olight Baton 4 is AED 210 in Black or OD Green, and the Acebeam E10 2.0 is AED 249. On its own, either one ships for AED 10; delivery usually takes 1 to 3 days, cash on delivery is available across the UAE, and you have 14 days to return. First order? The code WELCOME10 takes 10% off.
