Which headlamp for which job

Lightest, for running and hiking: the Perun 2 Mini weighs 54 g, peaks at 1,100 lumens and settles to about 250 lumens for the evening, has a 40-lumen red mode, charges on Olight’s magnetic MCC cable and is IPX8. All-rounder for camping, car and kit: the Perun 3 peaks at 3,000 lumens and holds about 800 lumens for three hours, has two red modes, is IP68, weighs 150 g and doubles as a right-angle hand torch. Its 5,000 mAh cell is built in and it charges by magnetic cable only. Perun 3 review.

Industrial value: the Acebeam H35 is IP68, 163 g, runs on a swappable 18650 (included), holds about 500 lumens for nearly four hours after its 2,600-lumen burst, and has a genuinely useful 200-lumen red light with a 44-hour red SOS. H35 review.

Every headline lumen figure above is a short turbo burst; the sustained numbers we quote are what you actually get. The two Olights have sealed cells and charge only by magnetic cable, so keep the cable with the lamp; the two Acebeams take swappable cells, which is the better choice for long shifts.
