New to torches? The 30-second version
- Lumens — total brightness, but often a short burst rather than steady output.
- Candela / throw — how far the beam actually reaches.
- Turbo isn’t sustained — peak lumens can last 1–2 minutes, then step down. Buy on the sustained number.
- IP rating — water and dust protection (IPX8 = submersible; IP6X = dust-tight).
- Beam shape — flood (wide, close-up) vs throw (narrow, long-range).
- CRI / Kelvin — colour accuracy and warm-vs-cool tint.

Updated 15 September 2026 — prices checked against lumens.ae. Performance figures are Acebeam's and Olight's published ANSI FL1 numbers unless marked as our estimate.
"Super bright" and "long range" are two different numbers, and the torch that wins one usually loses the other. Brightness is lumens: how much light comes out of the front. Range is candela: how tightly that light is focused. The 22,000-lumen Acebeam X25 is the brightest torch we sell, and once both lights have settled it does not reach as far as the 2,900-lumen Acebeam T29. So before you pay for the biggest number on the box, decide how far you actually need to see. For most UAE buyers that answer is 400 to 850 metres, and it costs AED 249 to 449, not AED 1,200.
The 30-second verdict
Most people: Acebeam T29, AED 449. Four minutes of 2,900 lumens rated at 1,400 m, then 1,150 lumens rated at 856 m for nearly two hours. Nothing we stock reaches further for the money.
Pocket or glovebox: Acebeam E10 2.0, AED 249. 106 g, 715 m for the first 30 seconds, then 500 lumens rated at 426 m for half an hour. The cheapest way to pick out a camel on the hard shoulder.
Need to see past 2 km: Acebeam K75 2.0, AED 1,249. Rated 2,716 m. Nothing else comes close, and you carry nearly a kilogram for it.
Everything between those three is a question of hours, hotspot width and weight — which is what the rest of this page is for.
What "super bright" and "long range" actually mean
Lumens measure total light output. Candela measures beam intensity, and range follows candela alone. The rated distance printed on every torch is the ANSI FL1 figure: how far the beam still delivers 0.25 lux, roughly full-moon light, and it works out as 2 × √candela: 490,000 cd gives 1,400 m. Two things follow from that. First, the rated distance is where you can detect something, not identify it; recognising a person or an animal happens at a good deal less, often a third of the rated figure. Second, it is a Turbo number, and Turbo lasts seconds to minutes before the light steps down to protect itself from heat. The distance you live with is the settled one, which is why the table below shows both. Longer version: lumens vs candela and flood vs throw.
How far do you actually need to see?
Match the job, not the spec sheet. These are the distances that come up in our customers' questions, and the cheapest light that still covers each of them after it has stepped down from Turbo.
| The job | Distance you need | Cheapest light that holds it | Price |
| Car park, villa perimeter, a fence line, an animal on the hard shoulder | 100–300 m | Acebeam E10 2.0 — 500 lm rated at 426 m | AED 249 |
| Across a wadi, the next dune ridge, a boat off the beach, a lost camper's light | 400–700 m | Acebeam L19 2.0 — settles to 870 lm, about 680 m (our estimate) | AED 369 |
| Spotting, watching a boundary, farm rounds, a 4×4 recovery across a bowl | 800–900 m, for hours | Acebeam T29 — 1,150 lm rated at 856 m for 1 h 50 | AED 449 |
| Search and rescue, seeing more of what you find, vehicle kit | ~800 m with a wide hotspot | Acebeam P20 — 1,800 lm for 2 h 40, High rated 811 m | AED 749 |
| Coastline, open desert, "how far can a torch possibly go" | 2 km and beyond | Acebeam K75 2.0 — 2,716 m rated; 3,100 lm for about 1.5 h once settled | AED 1,249 |
If your honest answer is "the end of the garden", none of these is the right buy. A pocket light with a wider beam is, and our Dubai city torch guide covers those. A thrower puts a small, very bright patch a long way off. Up close, that patch is smaller than you'd like.
Every long range torch light we stock: rated vs settled
Row one is the number on the box. Rows three to five are the numbers you use.
| Price | Turbo: output / rated range | Turbo holds | Settles to | Range once settled | Weight | |
| E10 2.0 | AED 249 | 1,200 lm / 715 m | 30 s | 500 lm for ~32 min, then 150 lm | 426 m (published, High) | 106 g |
| L19 2.0 | AED 369 | 2,200 lm / 1,083 m (293,222 cd) | ~2 min | 870 lm | ~680 m (our estimate) | 284 g |
| T29 | AED 449 | 2,900 lm / 1,400 m (490,000 cd) | 4 min | 1,150 lm for 1 h 50 | 856 m (published) | 309 g |
| P20 Mini | AED 489 | 4,000 lm / 1,035 m (267,806 cd) | 90 s | 1,000 lm for 2 h 30 | ~500 m (our estimate) | 306 g |
| P20 | AED 749 | 5,600 lm / 1,454 m (528,529 cd) | 70 s | 1,800 lm for 2 h 40 | a little under 811 m (High published at 811 m) | 504 g |
| K75 2.0 | AED 1,249 | 6,500 lm / 2,716 m | ~1 min | 3,100 lm for ~1.5 h | ~1.9 km (our estimate) | nearly 1 kg, four 18650 cells |
Weights include the battery. "Published" means the brand prints a beam distance for that mode. "Our estimate" scales the Turbo candela by the settled output and applies the ANSI formula, the standard way to read a runtime chart and usually within 10%. Turbo timings are room-temperature figures; see the heat section below. The three lights that do not fit a step-down row (X25, Marauder Mini 2, Terminator M1) get a paragraph instead, because a table cell would not describe what they are for.

The brightest torch here is not the furthest — and it costs nearly three times more
The Acebeam X25 (AED 1,239) makes 22,000 lumens from sixteen LEDs and is rated at 1,505 m and 566,256 cd. That is a wall of light, and in our review the range you actually get once it settles came out around 755 m, which is less than the T29 holds for AED 790 less. The X25 is the light for seeing an entire dune face at once, not for a small target far away. The Olight Marauder Mini 2 (AED 1,080) is the same idea in one hand: 10,000 lumens of flood plus a separate 750 m spot, in a 133 mm body with a 7,500 mAh cell. It is the desert-camp light that also signals. And the Terminator M1 (AED 1,499) is the odd one: a laser-excited LEP head rated at 1,600 m and 640,000 cd with very little spill, paired with a 3,500-lumen LED flood. It is a pencil and a lantern in one tube; if you want to see a rock on a ridge and nothing else, it is the tool. Our K75 2.0 vs X25 vs X75 and Terminator M1 vs X25 pages go through the big lights one by one.
The reason a 2,900-lumen torch reaches nearly as far as a 22,000-lumen one on Turbo, and further once both have settled, is emitter size. A small LED die behind a deep reflector can be focused into a pencil; sixteen large dies cannot. Throw is bought with a small source and a big reflector, not with lumens, which is why the K75 2.0's 2,716 m comes from a single LED behind a very large reflector.
The UAE catch: heat shortens every one of these
Every Turbo time in the table is an ANSI figure measured at room temperature. At 40–45 °C the electronics reach their step-down threshold sooner, so a four-minute Turbo in January may be two in August. The order does not change (the T29 still holds longest, the P20 still settles highest), but plan a summer night around the settled row, not the Turbo row. Two practical rules: never leave any of these in a parked car between May and October (our summer heat guide has the numbers), and carry spare cells in a case, not loose in a pocket with keys (why). All six lights in the table are IP68, so dust storms and a wadi crossing are fine.

Which one we would buy
"I want to see far now and then." E10 2.0. It lives in the door pocket, weighs less than your phone, and 500 lumens through a tight lens reaches 426 m, further than the 100–300 m most pocket lights we sell are rated for on Turbo. Thirty seconds of Turbo is enough to check what that shape on the road is. Full review.
"Weekends in the desert, on the boat, or on the farm." T29. The four-minute Turbo is the longest look you get from any thrower we sell, the settled 856 m is published rather than guessed, and any protected 21700 is a spare. T29 vs P20 Mini vs P20 if you are between the three.
"I work with it every night." P20 Mini if the job is 300 m and under with the widest hotspot and USB-C on the cell itself; P20 if you can carry 504 g and want 1,800 lumens for two hours forty. The security guard guide and the 4×4 recovery guide are the job-specific versions.
"The number matters." K75 2.0. Two and a half kilometres on paper, and by our estimate still around 1.9 km after the first minute, which is further than anything else here manages on Turbo. Review.
All of them are in stock in Dubai, priced in AED, with cash on delivery and 1–3 day delivery across the UAE. Delivery is AED 10, free over AED 300, so every light on this page except the E10 2.0 ships free. Still deciding between a thrower and something wider? Flood vs throw is the two-minute read, and the long-throw & search flashlight guide ranks the whole 1,000 m+ class.
FAQ
Is a 10,000-lumen torch better than a 3,000-lumen one for distance?
Not by itself. Distance follows candela, not lumens. The 2,900-lumen T29 (490,000 cd, 1,400 m) out-throws the 10,000-lumen Marauder Mini 2 (750 m) and, once both have settled, the 22,000-lumen X25. Lumens decide how much you see around the target; candela decides how far away the target can be.
How far can I really recognise a person with a 1,000 m torch?
The rated distance is where the beam still delivers 0.25 lux, enough to notice that something is there. Recognising what it is takes several times more light, so expect to identify a person or an animal at perhaps a third of the rated figure, and less in dust or humidity. A "1,000 m" torch is a 300 m identification torch.
Which long range torch light is best under AED 500 in the UAE?
The Acebeam T29 at AED 449: 1,400 m rated, 856 m held for nearly two hours, IP68, included 21700 cell. If the budget is under AED 300, the E10 2.0 at AED 249 gives you 715 m for a moment and 426 m for half an hour from a 106 g body.
Will these hold their range in the summer heat?
The settled outputs hold; the Turbo bursts get shorter. All six table lights are IP68 against dust and water. What none of them tolerates is a closed car in July — store them indoors and they will do their rated numbers for years.
